Methodology
How prop firm scoring works
Scores are evidence-weighted comparisons, not paid placements or affiliate rankings. A firm remains Unrated until there is enough independently useful evidence to make a public score meaningful.
When a firm becomes Rated
The evidence confidence must reach 30% and the firm must have either at least five approved trader reviews or at least one observed RisePay payout from an attributed wallet.
confidence = 4 × approved reviews + 3 × observed payouts + 3 × official sources
Confidence is capped at 100. Community reports, affiliate links and advertising do not directly produce a rated score.
Score components
- Payout reliability (30%) — observed on-chain payouts and approved trader payout reports.
- Reputation (20%) — moderated trader ratings, with conservative priors for small samples.
- Rule clarity (20%) — number and freshness of cited official sources.
- Transparency (15%) — evidence coverage and official-source recency.
- Community sentiment (15%) — the approved review sample, weighted conservatively.
Trust layers
Observed is independently measured. Verified is confirmed by a firm. Reported is a firm claim. Community is user-submitted and unconfirmed. These layers are displayed separately and are never silently added together.
